  • FRIDAY

    The weekend starts on Friday evening in the city.

    Pop ups run across the city, each one with its own energy, its own vibe and an active social twist. Pick the one that appeals, book in and show up. No experience needed, no expectations attached.

    All pop ups will be within easy reach of Newcastle city centre. Perfect for anyone travelling to visit, or living locally.

  • SATURDAY

    Show Up North takes over Event Northumbria for the weekend and Saturday turns the volume up. Multiple rooms, back to back sessions and an independent marketplace running throughout. Spin, strength, cheerleading, dance, choreo and more. You move between rooms, try new things and ride on the atmosphere.

    The Maldron Hotel takes over for the evening for our weekend mixer.. Live music, and themed cocktails.

  • SUNDAY

    Sunday Well Spent.

    Sunday at Event Northumbria is a different kind of full. Multiple rooms and sessions focused on wellness, restoration and balance. The pace is intentional, every session designed to help you recover, breathe and reconnect.

    Everything wraps at 4pm. Plenty of time to make your way home, decompress and start the week ahead, with your energy cup well and truly full.

One Day Ticket — £60 early bird / £75 full price.
Full access to all sessions on your chosen day, and access to the independent marketplace.

Saturday one day tickets also include entry to the evening party at the Maldron Hotel.

Where is Event Northumbria?

Event Northumbria is part of Northumbria University, and located on the main campus in the hear of Newcastle City Centre.

The address is: Event Northumbria, 2 Sandyford Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8SB.

The event will also have signs from different entrances to the campus, and you will see our banners outside across the weekend.

What does my ticket include?

Your weekend ticket includes access to Friday evening pop ups across the city, full access to all sessions across Saturday and Sunday at Evnt Northumbria, access to the independent marketplace running across the weekend and entry to the Saturday evening party at the Maldron Hotel.

One day tickets include full access to all sessions on your chosen day and access to the independent marketplace.

Saturday one day tickets also include entry to the evening party at the Maldron Hotel.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. A lot of people do. Show Up North is designed to be easy to navigate on your own, a safe and welcoming environment, and an opportunity to meet new people if you wish.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. You do not need any experience across any of the sessions. Everything is open to all levels. Our presenters are incredible, and will adapt where possible. Please speak to your session presenter before it starts.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non refundable. If you can no longer attend you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else.

How do I book classes?

All ticket holders will receive a booking link approx. 2 weeks before the event. You can then pick and mix your own weekend by choosing as many experiences as you wish.

Is the event accessible?


Show Up North is accessible and our presenters are able to adapt sessions to seated based activity where needed. If you have any specific requirements please get in touch ahead of the weekend.

Yes, you can buy a day ticket for Saturday, or Sunday

Is there parking?

There are numerous car parks in and around Northumbria University. The venue is also easily accessible by Metro, bus and train.

We recommend you use the pay by phone app, as this is frequently used across the city.

Can men attend

Show Up North is female focussed, but anyone is welcome. We do have a number of sessions which are woman and non binary only. There are highlighted at the booking your classes stage two weeks before the event.
